Habitat: Yerba Santa is found abundantly in California and
Northern Mexico.
Description: Yerba Santa is a shrubby evergreen plant growing up
to a height of 2 to 4 feet. The leaves of the plant are yellowish in
colour, covered with resin and are 2-5 inches in length. The plant bears
blue flowers which occur in cluster.
Uses: Yerba Santa is used in bronchial and laryngeal troubles,
chronic pulmonary affections, haemorrhoids and chronic catarrh of the
bladder. Its leaves are often smoked in asthma.
