Habitat: It is native of Europe and Asia.
Description: The plant is a perennial herb, 50-80cm high, with a
stout branched root. Leaves are alternate and bi-alternately compound,
the ultimate segments red- veined, oblong-elliptical. The leaflets are
narrow-ovate or elliptical, 8-12 cm long and 2-4cm wide. Flowers are
large with red, white or purple.
Uses: Peony root is used to relax muscle and cleanse the blood.
It is one of the most highly prized women's herbs used traditionally to
